What does ModernComms do?

ModernComms makes small UK businesses visible to AI assistants. We test what ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity say about a business (the AI Visibility Report, from £39/month), audit whether a website is ready for AI assistants (the AI-Readiness Audit, from £295), and publish and maintain the machine-readable version of a business (the Business Facts Feed, £19/month). We also offer independent IT consultancy, design, build and host AI-ready websites, and install Home Assistant home automation.

How much do your services cost?

AI Visibility Report: £39/month (quarterly full report plus alerts), £59/month (monthly report), or £99/month (monthly report plus competitor tracking and a fix-it call). AI-Readiness Audit: from £295 one-off, retest included. Business Facts Feed: £19/month. IT consultancy, website design and hosting are quoted per engagement or project. All prices are fixed — no retainers, no discovery calls, no surprises.

What is the free AI visibility check?

Send us your business name and town using the form on the AI Visibility page. Within a couple of days we show you what AI assistants currently say about your business — including anything wrong. It's free, with no obligation. Most owners find at least one thing that surprises them.

Where are you based and what areas do you cover?

We're based in the South of England. AI visibility services and websites are delivered remotely across the whole UK (websites worldwide). IT consultancy and home automation are on-site across the South of England, plus remote.

Can you change what ChatGPT says about my business?

No — and neither can anyone else, whatever they claim. Nobody can directly edit what an AI assistant says. What we change is the inputs assistants rely on: structured data, independent listings, reviews and published facts. That's what moves the score over time, and it's the only honest version of this service.

How is the AI Visibility Score measured?

We put the same 24 fixed questions to each assistant every month — category discovery (“best electrician in your town?”), brand knowledge (“what are their hours?”), competitive comparisons and confusion probes. Because AI answers vary between runs, each question is run three times and scored on consistency, out of 100. From month two, your report leads with what changed. Assistants we haven't tested are marked “not tested” — never given assumed scores.
